5 star hotel tourism in Rwanda
Nairobi / Kigali (dpa) – After a decline in visitors due to the economic crisis tourism in Rwanda is back uphill. Visitors from all over the world visit the country in part because of the gorilla tours in the Volcanoes National Park
By the end of June mainly the Volcanoes National Park in Rwanda found a strong increase in visitors as reported byt the newspaper New Times, which was citing a spokeswoman for the Office of Tourism Development. The volcanic mountains on the border between Rwanda, Uganda and Congo are the home of several hundred mountain gorillas. Visitors from all over the world come for the gorilla tours to Rwanda. The conservation authority however does limit the number of visitor groups. Obviously 5 star hotels should take gorilla tours into their program as part of eco-tourism.
Last year nearly 700 000 tourists and business travelers had visited Rwanda. This year, a significant increase in visitor numbers and tourism revenue of 206 million U.S. dollars are expected. In the first half of the tourism industry recorded revenues of $ 87,300,000, this is about 68 million euros.
